New Consultation Times Consider Locals

Developers have changed the time and format of its public consultations to fit in with locals’ lifestyles.

To clarify its multi-million pound proposals, UK Coal has organised additional public events for communities living near the 741-acre Waverley Community site. It will present information on the planned residential development, social and leisure facilities, environmental issues including sustainability, air quality, drainage, transport links and green space benefits for the residents.

The meetings will start at a later time, comprising a drop in session and ending in a presentation and Q&A session from planning consultants Atisreal.

Scheduled times and dates are:

  • Thursday 8 May, 5pm-7pm, Coalbrook House, Orgreave, drop in.
  • Thursday 8 May, 7pm, Tinsley Forum Meeting, Tinsley Methodist Church, 7pm presentation.
  • Tuesday 13 May, 6pm, Darnall Public Meeting, Living Waters Centre, Main Road, 6pm presentation.
  • Thursday 15 May, 5.30-7.30pm, Handsworth Methodist Church, 5.30-6.30pm drop in, 6.30pm presentation.
  • Friday 16 May, 5pm-7pm, Catcliffe Memorial Hall, 5pm-6pm drop in, 6pm presentation.
  • Tuesday 20 May, 5.30-7.30pm, Treeton Reading Rooms, 5.30-6.30pm drop in, 6.30pm presentation.

Further dates will be scheduled for June.
