Community event for Catcliffe residents

Catcliffe residents are being invited to find out more about the proposed Waverley community development at a public event this week.

The multi-million pound proposals by UK COAL will be outlined at a drop-in session at Catcliffe Memorial Hall on Friday 6 June from 5pm - 7pm.

UK COAL wants to redevelop the former surface mine site in Waverley into a sustainable high density mixed use community, including approximately 4,000 houses, community facilities and green areas.

Experts from planning consultants Atisreal will be on hand to provide information on the planned residential development, social and leisure facilities, environmental issues including sustainability, air quality, drainage, transport links and green space benefits for the residents. Information on the proposed office development will also be presented.
