Nationally important centre for commerce and industry

As well as being a thrilling place to live, Waverley will provide an inspiring place to work. Commercial developments are well underway, with the town’s Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) already hosting pioneering companies in the fields of research and technology. This park, along with the adjoining Highfield Commercial office district will bring investment, skills, training and job opportunities to the region. They represent a nationally significant commercial and industrial centre that will support economic regeneration in the region.

Space to innovate

Development at the Waverley AMP began in 2005, providing much-needed serviced office and factory space for companies that specialise in innovative, high-skilled manufacturing. The 40-hectare park has already attracted leading names in the sector, including Rolls Royce and Boeing. The completed AMP will be a premier location for high-technology manufacturers, creating more than 1,000 jobs.

Fresh opportunities

Adjoining the AMP, Highfield Commercial is a development of energy-efficient office suites providing 60,000m² of floor space, which will accommodate relocating government departments. There will be supporting retail and leisure facilities too, as well as a 120-room hotel, extensive car parking space and gardens. The development will bring a broad range of job opportunities for local people and invigorate the area with new skills and resources.
