Grand Boulevard

Cut through with Continental charm

The tree-lined Grand Boulevard is the main spinal route running from north west to south east across the Waverley development. It is a core public highway, linking the square at the centre of Highfield Commercial district with the town’s focal point at Orgreave Square and the waterfront recreational space.

Tree-lined highway

This linear central highway will be softened by formal tree planting and an attractive water course that runs along its entire length – giving the area a peaceful character all of its own.

Life on the boulevard

The road will be lined by terraced housing, as well as small apartment buildings where minor roads intersect the boulevard. Although the plan is for purely residential land uses in this area, there is scope for mixed uses such as retail and office accommodation at key points along the route.
